Our first session together will be an assessment session where I ask a series of questions to gather relevant information on your background, family history, levels of risk, your reasons for seeking support and what you hope to achieve from therapy.
As a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), I adhere to their ethical framework to ensure our work together remains safe and ethical. I will explain how our sessions are confidential, and certain reasons where disclosure may necessary. We will agree and sign a Contract for our work together, detailing boundaries, fees, my cancellation policy, and how your data is securely stored in accordance with UK GDPR legislation. We can also discuss any reasonable adjustments required and agree our way of working together.
Subsequent sessions follow a person-centred approach, with you deciding what you would like to discuss.
Counselling and mentoring sessions run for 50 minutes and are £70 per session. I offer a limited number of concessionary sessions for those on low-income or current students. Please speak to me about your financial situation as needed.
Sessions are weekly on the same day and at the same time.
I have some limited capacity for fortnightly sessions.
I offer sessions face-to-face in Petts Wood near Orpington, in Kent, and online. I also offer Walk & Talk Therapy in nearby ancient woodlands, where gentle exercise and nature complement the therapeutic approach.
I currently have availability for new clients on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.
